Introduction
In this screen our focus is a bit different. We are not starting out our search looking for good values. We are just searching for stocks that have consistently maintained or grown their dividends in the most recent 5 years. This screen will be useful for investors who are looking to build a dividend portfolio, either in addition to their value portfolio, or on a standalone basis.
Consistent dividend stocks are likely to keep paying the same or improved dividend in the future, but it is never guaranteed. You still need to review each stock individually to make sure it fits your investment criteria.

Screen Details
This screen looks for all cap stocks paying dividends. We require a payout ratio under 60% to ensure the likelihood of maintaining or growing dividends in the future is high. We also want to see no history of dividend decreases in the previous 5 years.
- Dividend per Share (now) >= Dividend per Share (1 year ago) >= Dividend per Share (2 years ago) >= Dividend per Share (3 years ago) >= Dividend per Share (4 years ago) >= Dividend per Share (5 years ago)
- Dividend per Share (5 years ago) > 0
- Payout Ratio <= 60%
The Screen Results
The screen resulted in 715 stocks for you to review. I find it prudent to attach the results in an Excel spreadsheet that you can download and use. You can download the Excel spreadsheet by clicking on the button below.
Ending Note
I have grouped the stocks in the Excel spreadsheet by industry, so if you wish to build a dividend portfolio based on this screen, it will aid you in picking a diversified list of stocks. The Excel sheet also contains a large number of other dividend related information for each of the stock. Please note that data changes over time - so keep in mind that this information is valid as of end of Nov/beginning of Dec, 2019.
For those willing to do valuation work on these stocks, Stock Rover gives you the ability to take the results of a screen and apply other valuation screen on top of it - for example, you may wish to see if any of these stocks fit the magic formula criteria. If this is of interest, feel free to download the screening criteria mentioned earlier in the highlighted box, and import into your Stock Rover account.
These stocks are not being added to my value stock watchlists - these are primarily dividend stocks for dividend based investors.
